Korat Cat

The Korat, one of the oldest stable cat breeds, is a natural breed of cat unique in its color and heart-shaped head. Short-haired and medium sized, this cat has a silver-tipped blue coat that creates a silver halo effect around it. It has a semi-cobby physique that is muscular and broad-chested, and is surprisingly heavy for its weight. The Korat is known as the “good luck cat,” in Thailand and traditionally given in pairs as a gift to newlyweds. It is intelligent and playful, fetching and chasing toys much like the Siamese. developing strong bonds with its owners.

The typical Korat Cat has an overall height of 10.0”-12.0” (25-30 cm) and body length of 15.0”-18.0” (38-46 cm). An average Korat weighs between 6-10 lb (3-5 kg) and has a typical lifespan of 10-15 years.
