Oriental Cat

The Oriental cat is a domestic cat breed stemming from the Siamese. It is known for its lengthy extremes: a long head, long legs, tall ears, and tapered tail. The Oriental cat is divided into two kinds: the long-haired and short-haired. The long-haired Oriental cat developed over time as a separate breed although it is less common than the short-haired Oriental cat. The Oriental cat is considered intelligent and needing of time and attention.

The typical Oriental has an overall height of 8.0”-10.0" (20-25 cm) and body length of 12.0”-15.0” (30-38 cm). An average Oriental weighs between 5-10 lb (2-5 kg) and has a typical lifespan of 8-12 years.
