Luke Skywalker is a fictional Jedi in the Star Wars movies and their extended franchise. Leia’s brother, and Padmé and Anakin’s son, he is raised by his aunt and uncle on a moisture farm on Tatooine but always dreams of more. When his uncle purchases R2-D2 and C-3PO, Luke accidentally intercepts a message meant for Obi-Wan Kenobi. After the stormtroopers trace R2-D2 to Luke’s aunt and uncle and murder them, Luke is thrown into an intergalactic civil war.
