Boxing lovers probably recognized Joe Frazier for his bitter relationship with fellow American boxer Muhammad Ali, which spilled over to their children. Born Joseph William Frazier, he was nicknamed “Smokin’ Joe” and notorious for his pressure fighting style combined with great punching power, strength, and formidability. He won thirty-two matches in his entire amateur boxing career, granting him to be among the ten greatest heavyweights. He also won a gold medal in the 1963 summer Olympics and three years worth of undisputed heavyweight champion reign. He is also among several boxers admitted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame and International Boxing Hall of Fame.
