Costura Sofa

Spanish designer Jon Gasca of Stua brought the Costura Sofa to life as a part of his 2015 Costar Sofa Collection. This elegant, slim-framed, expertly tailored sofa was born out of an effort to revive the practice of collaborating directly with traditional artisans of the surrounding Spanish villages. The foam and feather-filled Costura Sofa cushions are available in a selection of neutral colors and upholsteries of the highest quality that are supported by a molded plywood frame. With its painted aluminum legs, which are available in a diagonal alignment or a more contemporary straight alignment, this minimalist sofa will adapt to a range of living room designs.

The Costura Sofa has an overall height of 33.5” (85 cm), length of 85.0” (216 cm), and depth of 35.5” (90 cm). The Costura Sofa has a seat height set at 17.0” (43 cm) and an arm height of 28.5” (72 cm).

Common Questions
How long is a couch?
Although couches can vary in size, the standard range is between 72”-96” (183-244 cm) for a three-seat sofa and 48”-72” (121-183 cm) for a loveseat. Ultimately, 84” (213 cm) is considered the typical length of a couch.
How long should a couch last?
Although not explicitly defined, a couch typically lasts anywhere from seven to fifteen years. The lifespan of a couch up until replacement ultimately depends on its initial craftsmanship and amount of wear over time.
How do you clean couch cushions?
First, start at the surface using a vacuum (handheld or an attachment) to remove dirt, dust, hair, and other debris. It is important to determine the type of fabric in order to choose the right cleaning agent to remove stains, following instructions found on the couch’s tags. If the cushions are able to be removed, it is an option to take it to a cleaner or run it through the washing machine if the tags permit. After treating the cushions with an appropriate detergent, air drying is the last step.
