Goodland Sofa

Designed in 1968 as the prototype for his Goodland Sofa Collection, the Goodland Sofa was born out of architect Milo Baughman’s desire for a simple, enduring, and elegant piece of furniture that reflected the values of the Kansas town for which it was named. With its expertly crafted, kiln-dried, solid maple frame, the Goodland Sofa is available in a wide variety of upholstery materials and colors that conceal the foam and fiber filling. The thoughtfully proportioned rectilinear design is elevated by the polished stainless steel base, making the Goodland Sofa a desirable choice to match a range of interior aesthetics.

The Goodland Sofa has an overall height of 33.0” (84 cm), length of 84.0” (213 cm), and depth of 33.5” (85 cm). The Goodland Sofa has a seat height set at 18.5” (47 cm) and an arm height of 26.5” (67 cm).

Common Questions
How long is a couch?
Although couches can vary in size, the standard range is between 72”-96” (183-244 cm) for a three-seat sofa and 48”-72” (121-183 cm) for a loveseat. Ultimately, 84” (213 cm) is considered the typical length of a couch.
How long should a couch last?
Although not explicitly defined, a couch typically lasts anywhere from seven to fifteen years. The lifespan of a couch up until replacement ultimately depends on its initial craftsmanship and amount of wear over time.
How do you clean couch cushions?
First, start at the surface using a vacuum (handheld or an attachment) to remove dirt, dust, hair, and other debris. It is important to determine the type of fabric in order to choose the right cleaning agent to remove stains, following instructions found on the couch’s tags. If the cushions are able to be removed, it is an option to take it to a cleaner or run it through the washing machine if the tags permit. After treating the cushions with an appropriate detergent, air drying is the last step.
