Cesca Side Chair

Introduced by designer Marcel Breuer in 1928 and manufactured by Knoll, the Cesca Side Chair was one of the earliest bent tubular steel chair designs and the first to formally make its way into mass production. This side chair revolutionized the industrial age aesthetic of its time by balancing out the sleek, chrome plated finish tubular steel frame with a lightweight hardwood beech and cane woven seat. Found in homes and restaurants worldwide, the original Cesca Side Chair is a part of MoMA’s permanent collection, highlighted as one of the ten most important chairs of the 20th century.

The Cesca Side Chair has an overall height of 31.5” (80 cm), width of 18.5" (47 cm), and depth of 23.5” (60 cm). The seat height of the Cesca Side Chair is set at 17.75” (45 cm).
