Michelle Obama is the former First Lady of the United States. Born Michelle LaVaughn Robinson in Chicago in 1964, she studied first at Princeton University and later at Harvard Law School, where she met her future husband, Barack Obama. They married in 1992 and have two children together. She supported her husband in his 2008 Presidential bid and became First Lady upon his inauguration in January 2009. She was a hugely popular First Lady, known for her charisma and approachable character, as well as her Let’s Move! Campaign, intent on reducing child obesity. She published her memoir, entitled Becoming, which became a worldwide success.
