Description

Peter Zumthor is a Swiss architect. He founded his own firm in 1979, and quickly became known for a minimalist, modernist designs. His work includes the Kunsthaus Bregenz, a concrete and glass structure on the shores of Lake Constance in Austria, thermal baths in Vals, Switzerland, and the Kolumba Diocesan Museum in Cologne. Zumthor has received numerous accolades, including the Pritzker Prize for architecture in 2009, and the RIBA Gold Medal award in 2012.
