Australian Cattle Dog

The Australian Cattle Dog, also called the Blue Heeler, Red Heeler, and Queensland Heeler, is a medium, muscular, sturdy dog known for its strength and agility. This breed originated in Australian where the Australian Cattle Dog was used to herd cattle over long distances. Similar to the Australian Shepherd or German Shepherd, the Australian Cattle Dog is an intelligent, work-orientated dog who can get into mischief if not looked over by an attentive and active owner. The Australian Cattle Dog has an easily maintainable short double coat with blue or red coloring and marking.
