A Western is a genre of stories, often portrayed through radio shows and movies that involve cowboys, saloons and gunfighting. Westerns are predominantly set in the 19th century in the American Frontier, which is now the South Western part of the United States. They are usually set in vast, empty desert landscapes, and feature a lone hero, usually typified by a cowboy. There are a lot of long, staring lots, cactuses, and horses. One of the most famous westerns of all time is ‘The Good, The Bad and The Ugly’ which features an iconic soundtrack.
