Star Wars began as a groundbreaking movie in 1977, created by George Lucas. It introduced audiences to a galaxy of adventure, conflict, and characters like Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader. The original film's success led to two sequels in the 1980s, forming the classic trilogy beloved by fans. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, a prequel trilogy explored the backstory of the galaxy and characters like Anakin Skywalker.

The franchise expanded into TV shows, books, comics, and games, creating an extensive universe. The 2010s saw a new trilogy, continuing the saga and introducing characters like Rey and Kylo Ren. Alongside these, standalone films and series delved deeper into the lore, making Star Wars an enduring part of global pop culture.
