Malcolm X was an American muslim minister and human rights activist who became well known during the civil rights movement. In his youth, he was involved in petty crime but it was during his time in prison he became aware of the work of the Nation of Islam and subsequently joined their organization. He became the public face of the group during the civil rights movement. His ideas created controversy; he advocated for racial segregation and disagreed with Martin Luther King Jr’s nonviolent activist tactics. He was assassinated in 1965 by members of the Nation of Islam, whilst speaking at a rally in New York City. Mystery still clouds the reason for his murder. Malcolm X is considered one of the most influential Americans of all time.

Clark Gable was a famous Hollywood film actor. He was born in 1901 in Ohio and served in the military during the Second World War.  He was dubbed ‘The King of Hollywood’ due to his appearance in a great number of popular films. One of his most famous roles was as Rhett Butler in Gone With the Wind, a Civil War epic, where he starred opposite Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O’Hara. His most famous line has become immortalized in cinematic history. As he leaves Scarlett for the last time, he responds to her pleading, by uttering the words: ‘frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn’.
